From the day New York City was labeled “The Gay Metropolis,” the gay community has come a long way to be the LGBTQIA+ movement that now exists. We would like to note that, like in all of our episodes, everyone’s experiences differ and we see that very much within this community. As opposed to color or ethnic background, gender identity and sexual preference are not something that can be perceived or distinguished as easily by others. It’s only through one’s self expression that the outside world may get a glance of our true identity. Nasir and Corey are two members of the LGBTQIA+ community that are taking control of their self expression, making the most of loving who they are.
Nasir wants his community to focus on unity, a message Corey is trying to promote.
