Podcasts were around long before the time of Serial and the NPR shows we all enjoy. In fact, NPR was known for mocking it’s few members in the early 2000’s who had taken up podcasting before the term even stuck. They are great, you can listen to them on your commute, on the elliptical, or while you’re in bed too tired to open your eyes and watch television and still learn all kinds of things. But podcasting can also be a powerful tool. It can bring people to a common ground, break down barriers, and create long-lasting friendships. For me, podcasting has been inspirational. It’s kept me going at night when I felt my voice didn’t matter all day. The most amazing part of this podcast to me has been the people I’ve met from all over the world, mostly thanks to them sliding in my DM’s. Today’s episode I talk to a fellow podcaster on how this medium has brought her closer to her happy place.
